A fun story gets told in ‘Princess Pru and the Switcheroo’
I had a lot of fun reading Princess Pru and the Ogre on the Hill. We saw a princess take a risk and end up making a brand new friend. As this tale came to a close both of their lives were changed forever. When I heard about Princess Pru and the Switcheroo I hoped I would get a chance to read it. I was able to get a digital copy of this book and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Princess Pru and the Switcheroo here:
Best friends Oggy and Pru spend their days playing games, having adventures, and getting spoiled by shopkeepers. Then, every evening, Oggy goes home and does whatever he wants, while Pru returns to the palace where she must finish her vegetables, tidy her playroom, and go to bed on time. She’s had enough of the rules—she wants freedom!
So Oggy and Pru hatch a plan for Pru to experience the easy existence of an independent ogre: they’ll disguise themselves as each other and switch lives with their hilariously apt transformations. But as time passes, Pru realizes that the life she resented as too limited was great after all. And when a dragon swoops in to kidnap the “princess,” their plan quickly goes awry.
I had a hard time putting this book down. We see Oggy and Pru have become good friends, but tire of their mundane lives. They hatch a plan to switch places, and at first things are going great. Soon though they start to miss their lives, but before they can switch back something terrible happens. Yet as this story comes to a close they both feel they have learned a good lesson.
Princess Pru and the Switcheroo is out now. You can order this book on Amazon and at Barnes and Noble.
