Music festivals are the best way to see as many of your favorite bands as possible, featuring condensed sets, rapid stage changes and an all around party atmosphere.
Rock Allegiance, which will be held just across the river from Philadelphia on October 7, is no exception. The Monster Energy Rock Allegiance festival will be at the BB&T Pavillion and Wiggins Waterfront Park in Camden, NJ—the lineup is as impressive as ever and includes something for everyone.
Last year, we reviewed Rock Allegiance and came away impressed with not just the artists and the organization of the show itself, but the humanity on display for all to see. It was filled with people of all races and ages coming together to enjoy a common interest, and in a divided world, we definitely need more of that.
As in years past, an integral part of the festival will be the parade of food trucks, with everything from gourmet to tacos, and craft beer aplenty. From local breweries like Spellbound, Troegs Independent Brewing, and Victory Brewing Company to nationally recognized brands, there will be no shortage of beer to sample. Additionally, there will be signings, meet and greets, and more, as fans of all ages are able to immerse themselves in a one of a kind experience.
The list of bands as it stands now is headlined by Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Marilyn Manson and Halestorm, but the rest of the lineup is just as impressive, even if lesser known. Mastodon, Gojira, In This Moment, Steel Panther, August Burns Red, Beartooth, Starset, Greta Van Fleet, Radkey, Bleeker, Badflower, Ded, Black Map, He Is Legend, and Biters fill out the ticket with a diverse and powerful group of performers.
Rock Allegiance has become the Northeast’s premier festival, and it seems like performers have really bought into the show.
Zoltan Bathory of Five Finger Death Punch said, “Rock Allegiance has become a staple on the U.S. festival circuit. It’s one of the coolest festivals out there for fans to discover new music and see their favorite bands live. We are excited to return this year to see our friends and fans in Philly. Don’t miss it! It will be another great one this year.”
Lizze Hale, of Pennsylavanias own Halestorm, commented “We are so excited about being a part of Rock Allegiance 2017! We’ve been busy writing new music for our next record and have been missing the stage. We cannot wait to see all of you and give a loud offering to the Rock N Roll gods!!”
We’re also thrilled to see a Halestorm rock the main stage and In This Moment either headlining the second stage or bringing their unique blend of theatrics and power alternative rock to the main stage. With such a small sampling of women vocalists gracing most rock festivals, it’s refreshing to see a few get the nod, especially when it’s been decades since there has been such a deep and talented pool of women in rock.
With such a varied and powerful list of performers, the one-day festival will fill all three stages with an eclectic mix of the best Rock has to offer.
The show is close to being sold out, with only General Admission available, so hurry up and grab yours now. The northeast doesn’t get many festivals this size, and the shows at Rock Allegiance are not to be missed. We’re hoping to see you there!
