‘Source Code’ is making its way to 4K Ultra HD
I find Jake Gyllenhaal to be hit or miss lately. He has done some great films, but been in plenty of strange ones too. So when I heard of Source Code, there was some hesitancy to check it out. But I chose to give it a chance. It was not what I expected it to be. I was able to get a review copy and this is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Source Code here:
Jake Gyllenhaal stars in this mind-bending action thriller about an experimental government program used to prevent a deadly terrorist attack in downtown Chicago.
Source Code has a clever concept, but I didn’t like this film much. It has plenty of slow moments, and doesn’t really come into focus until about halfway through. Before that moment comes, it is unclear what this movie is even about. The cast does their best, but they aren’t given much to work with here. The ending was alright but also didn’t make a whole lot of sense. I could see some people liking this film, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
Source Code arrives on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack May 8th. You can follow this movie on Facebook.
