A Saturday morning scroll through Facebook-land turns into a heart-wrenching rant, and a plea for sanity and unity.

I sat down to my Facebook-land newsfeed this morning with coffee in hand and a smile in my heart.
Twenty minutes later, my cup was empty and my heart was aching.

As my head spins, the joy of my morning latte lost amidst an eruption of emotional turmoil, I can’t help but wonder what is happening in our world?

I saw a three-minute video documenting a young American Jew in Israel speaking out in protest of the violence and bloodshed in Gaza. He was promptly and brutally forced into a police van while others watched.
I thought of that young man’s parents – would this video be the last time they see him?
I read several memes from people who are protesting the entry into their country of vulnerable, suffering, sick, and scared children, who are alone and pleading for help.
What if my children crying for help and no one answered their calls?
There were multiple questions about the possibility of passenger planes being annihilated purposefully as an agenda to create more war. My tears could no longer be held back.
As I scrolled down, I saw images of animals being tortured, environments being destroyed, and a verified good Samaritan stopping a fist fight, then being rewarded by having police beat the man to death amongst on lookers.
And a “Faithful” old geyser now threatens to destroy a land mass equivalent to one quarter of the continent.

I don’t have all the answers, but I have to ask:
When would now be a good time for humanity to stand together?
What is it we are so afraid of that we could watch as truth-tellers and way-showers are removed from the planet before our very eyes?
What is going on that we remain idle as peoples’ rights over their bodies, food, land, water, and health are dictated by exterior entities?
We already have all the information we need. The proof is in the pudding, so to speak.

We are strong, capable, courageous adults who can stand up for ourselves and each other.
|
It’s time for us to stop depending on the processes and systems that we still believe exist for fairness and democracy. We, the humans of Planet Earth, must now stand in our hearts and stand beside one another in unity, as one people.
Yes, the “department of they” has lots of scary tactics like guns and bombs and prisons.
Yes, their power reminds us of being small, powerless children being held at the whims of our parental caregivers.
Yes, many of us know what it is like to be taught a lesson the hard way, but I suggest that we notice that we are no longer children.
We are strong, capable, courageous adults who can stand up for ourselves and each other.
We can say “no” to those who bully and harm.
We can create new ways of being with each other and our beloved Earth.
When I come across a piece of information that speaks to healing some of the suffering in our world I feel some of the helplessness lift.
My Facebook timeline also tells me the technology for cleaning the oceans of plastic debris exists.
Our ability to clear land of radiation and oil spills exists.
Growing natural food, enough to feed the world, is beyond possible; the method exists.

Fuck the thin red lines that say “this is mine and that is yours.”
|
We see the memes, and share them, yet continue to repeat the insanity, the lack of logic, by spending our resources in all the “wrong” directions: bombs instead of food, war instead of health care, fracking instead of solar freaking roadways, Monsanto and agent orange for nutrition and weeds, instead of Hemp and organic, and natural, earth ways.
I’m not a scientist, politician, mystic, or farmer, but I do know this:
We can continue to point, look away, complain, and hide OR we can stop buying in. We can step outside of our old patterns and systems and step into the power that we become when we stand together as one race and one heart – HUMANITY.
Let’s stop fighting each other.
Forget Native or Settler
Black or White
Gay or Straight
Male or Female
Here or There
Fuck the thin red lines that say “this is mine and that is yours.”
We live on one unified system called Earth.
We can make change. We ARE change makers! Alchemists. Magicians. Creators!
BE the change you wish to see in the world – those are not just pretty words, my friend, they are the solution.
|
Let’s do it now!
Boycott the companies that support war against humanity and the Earth. It is a simple, peaceful way to get the point across and it hits the “department of they” where it counts – their financial, numerical values.
Research natural methods for yourself. Be wise and knowledgeable. Ask for help and be willing to accept it and give it.
BE the change you wish to see in the world – those are not just pretty words, my friend, they are the solution. Embrace your desire and say YES to peace, unity, and well-being for our entire Human Race and Earth Mother.
The illusion of separation is over.
It’s time to take action.
