JJ Vincent asks you to consider what you can learn about a person by their bare legs.
We’re taught from our earliest ages that hairy legs are a sign of masculinity and smooth legs are a sign of femininity.
So hairless legs on a man are taboo, unless the man is a swimmer or a cyclist, or some other sport that “demands” smooth legs, and a woman with hair on her legs must be a “hippie” or “radical feminist” or protesting something, and is in any case less feminine/desirable.
How about embracing this radical notion: some men prefer their legs smooth, and some women prefer not to spend hours de-hairing theirs.
And it has absolutely nothing to do with being manly or womanly or masculine or feminine.
P.S. This goes for armpits, too.

I shave my legs but I often forget or can’t be bothered.. Not a single guy has ever cared, even if I was dating him, in fact most never even notice. Girls, however, always seem to.
If you work with a fair number of European women, you quickly stop assuming that you could ever instantly ID someone’s gender by whether or not her legs were hairless. Very American meme.
I don’t shave my legs or anything else and I know I’m hot. When I shave (once a decade), I feel less beautiful. I know it is an unusual perspective for a woman, but maybe you need to get out of Alabama! No guy has ever told me they like it better that way, and I’m pretty sure they worship my body just the same, maybe even more because of my body confidence.
Funny, until now I was under the impression that any kind of hair is shameful in today’s fashion. Seeing as there seems to be pressure for men to shave their chest, e.g. In fact I used to consider it misandric conditioning: Men=hair, hair=yuck!
“Men=hair, hair=yuck!”
Therefore Men = Yuck!
LOL!
People need to get over body hair. Armpit kitties are fun to stroke and people don’t always have time to defuzz their legs. Pubic hair isn’t dirty and it’s normal to have chins that look like billy goat gruff, on both sexes
Actually, excess facial hair on women is usually the result of an imbalance of testosterone, and is not normal. Scruff on a female says 100% nothing about who they are as a person, but does say a bit about their health and hormones.
Actually, nearly 50% of women have some sort of facial hair growth and it’s perfectly normal.
Does that imbalance of T mean she is hornier than most other women?
If so, it’s all good!!!!
@ Selina,
Bravo!!! I could not agree more!
Women who shave their pubic area show higher rates of yeast infections and other vagina problems.
A 13 year old girl wrote into a site to seek help on a nasty infection on her vulva. She had shaved her pubic area. During the process she cut herself. Now, it had become inflamed……She was afraid to go to her mom.
Personally, I am not into bare pubic areas. They look like little girls. I am glad ot hear that 50% of women do not shave. Time to end the madness.
I shaved my legs once. Well, I shaved horizontal stripes into them, enough to know that shaving the back upper part of one’s calves is a nightmare. I say this as an ex gymnast. I’ve also shaved my armpits, and I never want to do that again. It was awful when it started to grow back and I always felt like I was putting deodorant on wrong.
I’m married to a man who shaves his legs every now and then. And no one in their right mind could ever question his “masculinity.” Then again, he also wears a shirt that says “my girl is stronger than you.” So anything conforming to gender identity is not on his list of things to give a shit about.
