‘Gremlins: The Wild Batch’ Part 1 is out now on Max
I really enjoyed Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai. We got to see new sides of these mysterious creatures, and watch a magical story unfold. Along the way new friendships were made and an evil foe put a heinous plan into motion. Once this season came to a close, life for Sam was never going to be the same. Now the story continues in Gremlins: The Wild Batch. I was able to get screeners for part 1 of this season and here is what I thought of them.

Taking place one year after the events of season one, this season follows Gizmo, Sam, and Elle as they travel from their home in Shanghai to San Francisco, bringing even more magic, mystery and Mogwai mayhem. Hot on the trail of a new brood of evil Mogwai, our heroes journey deep into the American West, coming up against new supernatural creatures and picking up a few mysterious characters along the way.

Gizmo is acting weird at the start of this season. For some reason, at night their eyes turn red and they start causing all types of mischief. To get answers Same and Elle decide to go to San Francisco. Once there, they wind up at Alcatraz and are put in a jail cell. After getting out of this place, they get to Chinatown where something is very wrong. It is too quiet, and turns out some familiar creatures have taken over. Stopping them won’t be simple but it needs to be done before things get worse. As the first part of this season came to a close this adventure didn’t appear to be over yet.
