A bully can never be your ally: Inside the mind of this individual there is a great deal of chaos, fear and self-loathing. There is no place for this individual in any organization. There is certainly no place for this individual in your life
How many times have you encountered a bully in your life? Perhaps it was in your neighborhood or wider community; the schoolyard; on the sporting field or in the workplace. A bully is alive and well in every environment on earth.
The bully is like a slow spreading disease. If allowed to flourish this despicable human being will permeate every aspect of the community and workplace. The bully wears many masks and countless faces. This person knows how to smile and frown at the right times. However, the bully hides many secrets which he/she is unwilling to share. To do that would be a weakness.
In spite of any charm exuded by a bully, this individual is basically an immoral sycophant. This sad and insipid individual is borderline delusional as he/she becomes focused on destroying the lives of others they perceive as weak.
In fact, bullies are the true pathetic, insipid individuals. They are cowards who, in their feeble minds, see themselves as untouchable. They prey on others, with scant regard for the welfare of their victims. They show no mercy in their relentless attack on others.
The bully is really a parasite who feeds on the fear of those they perceive to be weak. This person is absolutely devoid of compassion, respect and tolerance for things they identify as being beneath them.
The bully is emotionally stunted, unable to show feelings for fear of being exposed. The bully has deep-seated secrets and in an attempt to hide from the skeletons they fear, they are repulsed by weakness. Within themselves there is a raging sea of personal doubt and self-loathing.
The bully does not think like other people. If you have encountered one of these creatures in your life (I have no doubt many of you have), you will understand the lack of logic shown. Whether you’ve been in the receiving end of their venom or witnessed others fall prey, you’ll realize just how calculating the bully can be.
The individual who finds some perverse pleasure in crushing the spirit of others, is many things to many people. Worse of all, this person represents the evil in every situation. With a callous and thoughtless word, the bully can bring a pall of darkness upon the family; workplace or company.
To think like a bully is to become one. To do that, you sell your soul to the devil. For every person you denigrate and each life you attempt to destroy, you bring yourself one step closer to loneliness and eventual personal destruction.
The bully doesn’t believe in Karma because if he/she did, then the constant harassment of others would immediately stop.
When you encounter a bully (and you will), or you witness others being affected by this abominable behavior take action to limit the impact. Report any negative interactions and effect on your health and well-being. Keep a record of any interactions and paraphrase the conversation as best you can.
If you’re a bully, seek help because there will come a time when your behavior will begin to affect your life. I have no doubt it already has but the urge you have to satisfy some internal lust, pushes you forward with almost uncontrollable speed. It’s time to get it under control: It’s time to get help. It’s now time for the offensive behavior to stop.
Imagine the possibilities ….
