Forget what you think you know about ballroom dancers. John Lindo is turning stereotypes on their heads.
The popular image of the male ballroom dancer is buff, polished, muscled man in tight pants, v-neck shirt, vest, coiffed hair. He’s almost as pretty as the women he partners.
So you can imagine the surprise in the ballroom dancing world when John Lindo stepped up. He’s tall, large, and not dressed sexy-man gear.
He also makes no attempt to conceal his size. There’s no need to. By being himself, he is changing the way people think of ballroom dancers, and what people of size are able to accomplish.
He is proud of who he is and what he has accomplished – he’s a Champion West Coast Swing dancer – and he’s not lacking for partners, either.

I saw this a while ago on FB. That’s going to be me in a few years time 🙂 (I hope)
I have danced with John Lindo before! Back when I was doing the competitive swing dance circuit.
