‘Moana 2’ is out now on Digital
Moana was a wonderful film. The animation was stunning, the characters were great and the songs were amazing. Once this movie came to a close, life for the main character was never going to be the same. Like many people, I wasn’t sure Moana 2 was necessary, but it ended up being better than I ever thought it could be. When I heard this sequel was coming out on Digital, I hoped I might get to watch it again. I was able to get a digital copy of this film and here is my thoughts on it.

This movie reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her way-finding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.

I had a blast watching this sequel again. The story is an epic one, pitting Moana against some truly powerful foes. There is action, drama, suspense, comedy and a few lessons are learned along the way. As this film nears the end, it seems the story isn’t finished yet. ‘A New Voyage’ had the cast and crew talking about working on this movie and looked at the impact of the first film on the world. ‘Songs of the Sea’ revealed the process of writing the songs from this film and a few of the challenges they faced. There are also some cool deleted scenes.
