The Good Feed Blog editors share information regarding a very special fundraiser for the New England Warrior Benefit.
The New England Warrior Benefit will pay homage to those who guard the front lines of freedom, rallying our community to provide critical support and financial assistance for the children, spouses and parents of wounded and fallen heroes of these Special Operations units that routinely perform dangerous acts of valor to preserve and protect the American way of life.

Recent wars and subsequent missions have taken a tremendous toll on U.S. Special Operations Forces, and this extraordinary event, planned for July 3, 2012, at the Seaport World Trade Center, offers a singular opportunity to honor the sacrifices of the elite troops by caring for their families.
“All Americans owe a debt of honor to our U.S. Special Forces troops for their courage, their conviction and for their unwavering commitment to keeping us safe,” said event co-chair Joseph Fallon. “But unfortunately, as many of their families know all too well, there is considerable need for a safety net for our fallen and wounded elite, and we’re proud to support this incredibly important cause to provide for them.”
The New England Warrior Benefit, designed by premier event planner Bryan Rafanelli, will honor heroes and their families with live performances and special entertainment, and will end with a live culmination of a one-of-a-kind online auction. Individual benefit tickets cost $1,000 and event sponsorship details can be found at http://www.newarriorbenefit.org./contribute.html.
Proceeds will equally benefit five nonprofit organizations supporting the families of wounded and fallen U.S. Special Forces troops:
- The Navy SEAL Foundation
- The Wounded Warrior Project (Army)
- The Special Operations Warrior Foundation (directed at Air Force members)
- The Semper Fi Fund (Marines)
- No Greater Sacrifice, dedicated to helping fallen and wounded service members’ children
To support fundraising efforts, the New England Warrior Benefit is auctioning five special hand-crafted and custom-branded DIRICO Motorcycles, each themed to represent a different branch of the United States Military Special Operations Forces. The auction, which launches online on June 1, 2012, will be conducted via http://www.biddingforgood.com and overseen by The Fallon Family Charitable Foundation. These sleek and stylish DIRICO motorcycles are each one-of-a-kind collector’s items, valued in excess of $50,000. They bring together time-tested Harley Davidson parts and accessories with proprietary DIRICO frames and designs to create motorcycles that are both refined and distinctive.
The New England Warrior Benefit coincides with an exciting week of international naval activity in Boston Harbor, in celebration of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812, and a series of Independence Day events throughout Boston, including Fourth of July fireworks and the renowned Boston Pops concert.
