Your limbic system wants you to stay the same: it’s predictable and perceptively safe. Know that going in.
Motivation won’t move you forward.
Affirmations won’t move you forward.
Speaking it won’t move you forward.
Action will. Action does.
Uncomfortable, repetitive action.
Develop new actions.
Develop new habits.
This will influence your thoughts.
This will influence your beliefs.
Yes, it all works together, but understand you’re not going to outsmart your limbic system. Your life is 95% autopilot at all times.
You’re going to have to fight for every extra percent that you want to control, cognitively and consciously.
You must keep moving forward.
You must create new habits.
You must create new patterns.
You must create new environments.
You must create new relationships.
You must invite accountability.
