I am eighty-five years old. I spent sixty-two of those years teaching, the last twenty-five as an Associate Professor of English at Suffolk County Community College on Long Island. Most of my courses were in Creative Writing and Film.

I've published a number of articles: Family Circle, Currents, Penthouse, N.Y. Times, Newsday, Sports Illustrated, The English Journal. I once won the Best English Teacher in New York State award. That was a real honor because it was based mostly on letters from students.
