Turns out, talking about the environment is not any easier than talking about race or homophobia. The problems are just as tough to solve, but the language among men is not part of the common vernacular. And as with most of our other topics, there was passion, anger, debate, intelligence and a quest for practical solutions among the articles.

Making ends meet is all about the economy, so I don’t know why you’re separating the two.
It’s hard to believe, but there is a “gender” component to most subjects. Overall, women and men, whites and people of color, and rich, middle class and poor people will experience economic, environmental and other issues differently because of their different places in society.
What with the troubled economy, I’m quite sure that making ends meet is way higher up on the agenda of men and women than the economy. It’s not that men and women don’t care. It’s that they care way less about the economy than they do about eating and keeping a roof over their family’s heads.
Again, let’s focus on discussing real issues that matter to people and not make things about gender that aren’t.
