In Wisconsin, an Army veteran was questioned by police after painting the slogan “OBAMA FUK OFF” on the back of his vintage Chevy pickup truck.
Dennis Hamm insists he did not misspell the word “fuck.” In fact, “FUK” is an acronym denoting “Fundamentally Useless Kenyan.” Wow. Apparently, Hamm wants everyone to be clear on the fact that he is a racist, not someone who commits spelling errors while defacing his own vehicle.
Awesomely, the Sheriff’s Department report also contains weird spelling errors (“larege”).
I’m not sure why Hamm’s status as an Army veteran is relevant. Does it make his attempted political statement (“Obama Fundamentally Useless Kenyan Off”) more compelling?

Very well. I like your post. +1
Thank you, kind reader.
P.P.S. My goodness, I was going to vote for Obama, but fortunately the message on his tailgate cut through all the rhetoric and enlightened me. Whew! That was close….
It reminds me of those cars you see from time to time that are covered in Ron Paul paraphernalia. Maybe if they added just a few more stickers, it would sway the electoral college in favor of Ron Paul somehow.
P.S. I’ll have to remember his brilliant obscenity loophole when there’s another Republican president. I will expect all those people on the blog who supported his right to free speech to support me if I do something similar. Won’t hold my breath, though…..
It is a valid journalistic question to ask about what the heck his veteran status has to do with anything. He served in the Army for four years *36 years ago*, and therefore “Army veteran” is his primary characteristic? Surely he’s done something since leaving the military in 1976. Why not refer to him by his job or how many kids he has or where he lives? Why not call him “Truck Owner”? If I looked at the headline without reading further, I might assume he left the military during the Obama presidency instead of the Ford presidency. Perhaps that’s… Read more »
Was he in conflict? Going through war can define a life, but I guess it’s also part of the “honor our soldiers” tradition as the military isn’t just any kind of job but one where you are putting your life on the line when the shit hits the fan.
Almost all U.S. forces had left South Vietnam by the end of 1973, as the Nixon Administration withdrew American troops while continuing to provide military aid to South Vietnam until August, 1974.
It may also be worth asking how a traumatic event in the past can lead to random hatred of Obama.
I love it that idiots become more vulgar and vociferous when no one is listening. The thing I love most about freedom of speech is that it is so easy to identify the jerks. He might as well have painted, “I’m a dangerous moron” on his truck.
The fact that you’re painting graffiti… on your truck… should be the first clue that nothing you say will ever matter to anyone.
The profanity will liven up the back of my Camry, and cause an interesting reaction when I drop off my daughter at preschool.
“Creative” indeed. Had he truly wished to be creative (and presumably not racist) he could have simply written “Obama F.U.” In any case, the F.U. strikes me as a helpful addition to political speech, as the vast majority of politicians, Democrats and Republicans alike, are Fundamentally Useless. Rather like the explanation we finally receive for the condition of the human race at the end of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (descendants of PR flacks — and bloggers? — evicted by a truly advanced civilization in another part of the galaxy). Bert, since you noticed this first, I suggest you… Read more »
