I never thought I’d fall for someone I couldn’t see every day.
I never planned to love through a screen, through time zones, through calls that end too soon.
But here I am — loving someone who feels close, even when they’re far away.
It’s strange how love works. It doesn’t ask if it’s convenient. It just happens.
And when it does, you learn to make it work in ways you never imagined.
It’s Not the Distance That Hurts — It’s What You Miss
People think long distance is about miles. It’s not.
It’s about the silence that comes after the call ends.
It’s about missing small things — like their laugh, their hand, their smell after a hug.
Some nights, I open old messages just to feel close again.
Some days, I stare at a photo longer than I should.
It’s not because I’m sad. It’s just because… I miss what used to be easy.
Time Feels Different Now
I count differently these days.
Not in hours or days — but in “how long until I see them again.”
I plan everything around moments that haven’t happened yet — the next trip, the next call, the next hug.
And when those moments finally come, they never last long enough.
I’ve learned to hold on tighter. To remember how it feels — because that feeling has to last me for months.
Love Feels Quieter, But Deeper
There’s no constant touch, no casual mornings together.
So love finds new ways to show itself.
It’s the late-night calls when we’re both half asleep.
It’s the “text me when you reach home” that still makes me smile.
It’s the silence that doesn’t feel awkward anymore.
It’s not loud. It’s not movie-like. But it’s real.
And I’ve learned that real love doesn’t always need to be seen to be felt.
Some Days Are Hard
There are days when it feels too heavy — when I question if it’s worth it, if it’s going to last.
There are moments when I wish I could just drive over and see them.
But I can’t.
So I hold onto the small things instead — the calls, the laughter, the memories.
Because even when it’s hard, it still feels like something worth holding on to.
I’ve Learned to Love in New Ways
I used to think love meant being together all the time.
Now I know love can be messages, missed calls, and plane tickets.
It’s waiting for a text that finally comes.
It’s hearing their voice after a week and realizing it still makes my heart calm.
It’s sending a picture just to say, “This made me think of you.”
It’s simple. It’s imperfect. But it’s ours.
The Moment I See Them Again
Nothing compares to that first moment.
When I finally see them again, everything else disappears — the months apart, the distance, the waiting.
I forget how tired I am. I forget every lonely night.
All I feel is peace — the kind that only comes from finally being where I belong.
And every time that moment ends, I remind myself:
Love is worth the waiting — because not everyone gets something this real.
What Distance Taught Me
Being apart taught me that love isn’t about being together every day.
It’s about still choosing each other, even when you can’t.
It’s not perfect.
It’s not easy.
But it’s real — and that’s all I’ve ever wanted.
