Cricket in the United States is gaining recognition as an emerging force in the global game. As a cricket coach and professional cricketer based in the U.S., Jaykishan Parwani has contributed to that momentum through his work in mentorship, talent development, and continued success as a player. His experience across playing and coaching positions him within the broader effort to strengthen U.S. cricket pathways and raise performance standards. His mission is two-fold: to compete at a high level on the field and to develop the next generation of American cricket talent off it.
Continued Cricket Excellence in Game and Coaching

Parwani has built more than fifteen years of experience as a competitive cricketer, with sustained involvement across multiple levels of the game. During the 2025 Minor League Cricket season, Parwani took home an impressive 17 Man of the Match awards, three Most Valuable Player awards, two championship titles, and three runner-up finishes across various tournaments.
But even beyond his achievements on the field, Parwani holds a personal belief that both cricket mentorship and structured coaching are important if you want to create an elite athlete and strengthen American cricket. Through his coaching work, he focuses on identifying emerging talent, improving technical skills, and preparing players for higher levels of competition. This approach has produced measurable results, with players progressing into professional and international pathways, while also supporting the broader growth of the sport in the United States.
Players who have worked with him have frequently moved into both professional and international cricket. Through structured training programs focused on technical development, match awareness, discipline, and competitive readiness, Parwani helps players build the skills required to advance through higher levels of the game. As players progress from youth and regional competition into elite domestic and international pathways, his coaching aims to create a clearer route from early development to top-level cricket.
Currently, Parwani coaches at MLC Academy Philadelphia LLC and serves as the head coach and team selector for the Philly Crushers U13 team. In these roles, he has helped implement a performance-focused training system centered on skill development, match preparation, and competitive discipline. Under his leadership, the U13 team achieved the following results:
- Champions, Junior Cricket League (JLC) 2026
- Top 8 finish, AMLC Elite Jr Championship 2025
- Top 4 finish, Virginia Premier League (VPL)
In addition, in March 2026, Parwani was involved in on-field coaching during the U11 Warhawks Tournament, where the team won the championship. This recent result reflects his continued hands-on involvement in competitive youth cricket and ongoing contribution to player development.
These outcomes highlight how a structured coaching approach can support player progress and strong team performances.
Building Top Performance in the United States
Parwani’s influence can also be felt in regional development through his work with the North Atlantic Youth Cricket Association (NAYCA). His coaching approach focuses on three core areas: technical accuracy, strategic thinking, and competitive readiness. By combining skill refinement with game awareness and match preparation, he helps young players improve individually while preparing them for higher levels of competition. As a result of his coaching, eight to nine players have been selected for the NAYCA-Zonal Tournament and five to six players for the NAYCA Regional Tournament, which are important platforms for identifying future state and national players. This reflects how a structured development model can create measurable player progression while supporting wider cricket growth in the region.
Recognition and National Impact

In April 2025, Parwani was granted an O-1A visa for people with extraordinary skills in athletics. The recognition reflected both his competitive achievements as a player and his ongoing contribution to athlete development through coaching and mentorship. His work also responds to the growing demand for structured training systems and experienced leadership within U.S. cricket.
Cricket is returning to the 2028 Summer Olympics, and Parwani sees an opportunity for the US to become a competitive presence in the global cricket landscape. Parwani sees that moment as closely connected to the work being done today through coaching, mentorship, and youth development. By helping players improve through structured training and competitive pathways now, he aims to contribute to a stronger talent base that can support U.S. cricket in the years ahead. His mission, as always, is to excel as both a player and a coach, and to help develop the next generation of athletes who can represent the United States at the highest level of youth cricket.
Jaykishan Parwani’s goal is to promote the country’s global success and develop a lasting cricket foundation in a country not normally associated with the sport. “Through mentorship, technical training, and structured development programs,” he explains, “I hope to contribute to building a strong cricketing legacy in the United States.”
