You are given
a choice.
Option 1:
For the rest of your life you will be given free access to all forms of public municipal transportation in every city in the world that has such a system. But–while you will be able to obtain rides from friends and pay for cabs if you wish–you will be barred from having a drivers license and owning a vehicle of your own. You will never operate a motor vehicle on your own ever again. You will be limited in where and when you can travel, but you will save much more money than you will with Option 2, which will you give you more savings to spend on the things/activities you love.
Option 2:
For the rest of your life you will be given one luxury car that will be guaranteed to last as long as you do, but in order to take it you will always have to pay the maximum possible amount for insurance and for gas (which the car will always require a lot of). You will be barred from ever using any other form of transportation–including friends vehicles–and you will be required to use the car for any trip longer than one mile. You will be able to get around more easily and conveniently than you would with Option 1, but the amount of money you spend will severely limit what you can actually do while you’re out traveling around.
Which option do you choose?
