I’m a mom of twin girls and wife to a US Marine, Issac. I’m also the Founder, CEO of Covered Cubs, a kids Brand of clothing & products that promotes child protection. Covered Cubs propelled me into public speaking, in which I help moms enhance their “Safety Sight” and help them build effective boundaries. I give them the confidence, tools and guts to trust themselves through safe workshops, and my T.O.U.G.H. Talk Tuesday series. I’ve been a featured speaker for MOPS, Mentoring Mamas, a guest speaker and radio host on the KBC Network. My goal is to Help Parents Protect Their Pride! I enjoy horseback riding, salsa dancing, reading, professional Netflix binger, writing and cooking new recipes.

What I do well as a mom.
I’m the mom with the claws and no apologies. I have what I call excellent Safety Sight – the ability to look at a situation and see how it can be dangerous and then offer or take action to prevent it.
Learned from another mom.
Routines are great for kids, but moms have to be flexible and go with the flow so when the routine gets off track we don’t burst a gasket!
Lesson learned from my child.
My kids taught me to leap! One of my daughters is a daredevil and one day while at an inflatable park, she jumped off this extremely high platform into a foam pit. It was her first time and she was fearless.
Successful motherhood moment.
Every morning since our twins were about 1month old I had the same morning routine. After breakfast we sang the ABC song, including the sign language letters and would read 2-3 books. One morning when they were 16months I put them on the floor with some large foam letters and decided to see what they knew. They recognized ALL their letters and the sounds! I was SO happy that I had been consistent and could see the benefits of it!

Mom I admire.
My mother embodies the spirit of a mom! She’s loving, kind, strict and was fully committed to her children and her values. Every decision she made while raising us, she did boldly. She also followed her instincts without being phased by what other parents did.
