An intriguing tale begins in this magical comic
I am familiar with the character of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Like many people, I watched my share of episodes of the TV show on television as a kid and teen and loved The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix. When I first heard about a comic starring this character I hoped I might get to read it. I was able to get a digital copy of this comic and here are my thoughts on it.
You can read the plot for this comic here:
Who’d ever want to be ordinary when you could be a teenage witch instead? Still reeling from the surprise revelation of her secret birthright, and with Halloween just around the corner, high schooler Sabrina Spellman is honing her craft one hex at a time and figuring out how to balance her magical new life with the crushing responsibilities of being 16 years old. But when her feline familiar, Salem, drops a mythical trickster onto Sabrina’s literal doorstep, she might not be able to keep her two worlds from smashing together like busted pumpkins on All Hallow’s Eve. No time for fate. No time for destiny. No time for homework. Sabrina’s about to find out that being a teenager is far from magical . . . even when you’re a teenage witch!
I had a good time reading this comic. Sabrina has recently found out she is a witch and she isn’t that thrilled about it. Her aunts try to explain what this means for her, but all she wants to do is be a normal teenager and hang out with her friends. When a weird looking creature shows up, she thinks she defeats it. Instead, there ends up being more of them than before, and stopping them won’t be easy. As this comic comes to a close you can tell this story has only just begun.
