Based on real-life accounts, Eva Bor’s short film follows Lavender Chifamba, who lived and worked in the UK since 1989 before having her Indefinite Leave to Remain revoked and being deported to Zimbabwe.
Through a poor phone line, Lavender calls her son Tendai, who still lives in their family home in London.
Eva Bor is a writer and director based in London. Her work draws on diasporic notions of belonging and identity.
