Small talk happens everywhere. It usually our first conversation with a someone.
In this video from The Atlantic, people from diverse areas of the United States share how they greet people and start these interactions. And they decode them…what so they really mean?
“Where are you from?” in Alaska has a different meaning than it does on tribal lands in South Dakota. “What do you do?” is a different question in DC than in a small town..
What do people as you? What do you ask them? What’s your conversation starter?
