Filmmaker Duncan Cowles draws on his own failed attempts to create profitable stock footage to reflect on the absurdity of being a self-employed freelancer in his short film Taking Stock.
Duncan Cowles is winner of a BAFTA Scotland award. Unlike his onscreen persona, he is a successful director working in documentaries and short film. His work has won prizes at the Hamburg International Short Film Awards and the Glasgow Short Film Festival.
