Pitt Tha Kid is a Toronto-Intl DJ & Multi-Platinum Producer who has worked with plenty of music artists in Canada and the United States, such as Travis Scott, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Swae Lee, Pop Smoke, Nav, Gunna, YNW Melly, Anuel AA, Ozuna, etc., to list a few.
Pitt Tha Kid was passionate about music and wanted to make his career in this ever-expanding industry. He started his journey as a rapper when he was in the 11th grade. However, his raps didn’t attract much attention. Pitt understood that his raps needed a great beat to jazz it up. He shifted his focus onto creating beats, and his interests developed manifold. His songs soon attracted a lot of attention, but his audience was more curious about the song’s beats. Pitt’s YouTube audience also loved his song production. His first upload earned him more than 23K views.
Pitt also landed some Djing gigs, where he spun his rap songs to entertain the people. He looked up to DJ Khaled and Dr. Dreit and wanted to produce his own singles that people thoroughly enjoyed and loved. However, he noticed that people enjoyed the beat of the songs more than the songs themselves. This marked a monumental point in Pitt’s success journey. He shifted his focus from being a rapper to a producer. People started noticing him and reached out to him. The first significant opportunity was Pitt working with Lloyd Banks on a mixtape. Pitt was credited for one of the songs when the tape was released.
After that, in 2019, Pitt worked with Mike Will Made It, 2Chainz, and SchoolboyQ for the song Kill Em With Success from the album Creed II. Shortly after, Pitt produced the song ‘Pass’ by Jaden Smith on his ERYS EP. Pitt was excited about his collaboration with Jaden Smith, which introduced his talents in the USA. Pitt was born and raised in Barbados; hence, he always wanted to tribute his work to the city he’s from. He connected with another fellow producer, Dinuzzo, and sent him his samples for that purpose. Fortunately, Jaden’s team selected one of his loops and published it on Spotify with proper credits to Pitt.
“One day, he hit me up to ask about a specific loop of mine that I had sent over. He said Jaden’s team might be interested but nothing was for sure, so I put it out of my mind. Three weeks later, I got a DM saying congratulations. I was confused as to what they were talking about, so I went on Spotify and saw they had put out a song and credited me with production.”

After working with Jaden, Pitt worked with YNW Melly Camp and his brother BSlime. Pitt once again proved himself and produced albums for them that were a smashing success. Melly’s album ‘Melly vs. Melvin’ debuted on the 7th on the billboard. The same album was Pitt’s 2nd album on the billboard in 2020. The first album of Pitt’s that made it to the billboard in 2020 was on song BoyBack featuring Nav or Navraj Singh Goraya, in Young Thugs Album ‘So Much Fun.’
“Life definitely changed after this song came out. I was very much on a guitar wave after seeing an influx of guitar beats on rap records, I grew up playing guitar so I made an effort to lock in and create guitar loops that were unique and would stand out. The Boy back melody is one of my favorites for sure and I’m glad Thug and Nav could vibe on it….”

Later on, Pitt produced the biggest record with the producer 808Melo for the song Creature from the platinum album, ‘Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon.’ The song featured Swar Lee and ranked at number 57 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Another significant achievement in his career is the production of ‘La Maria.’ Pitt worked with Latin superstars Anuel AA and Ozuna for it. La Maria topped the Latin Billboard, securing the first position.
“I remember being interviewed at the beginning of last year on the radio, and they asked who I wanted to work with. I said it would be a dream to work with any of the big Latin artists including Ozuna. One year later and it happened. Was working with my bro FortyOneSix and got the call we had something big. Next thing I know I was a part of a record with not only Ozuna but also Anuel AA on their collaboration album. It’s a huge blessing, and I’m truly grateful; much love to producers Forty and Foreign Teck.”

In 2021, Pitt released his song as a Producer-Artists titled Run with Lil Wayne and Taleban Dooda. The song was loved by the audience on YouTube and Spotify.
A lot of people don’t know I was DJing before I was a producer. I used to host parties in college and looking up to legends like DJ Khaled and Dr. Dreit was always a dream of mine to release my own singles as a DJ/Producer. My goal is always to bring the best out of artists, with my single Run see it as a warm-up and introduction to my artist side as a producer. I’m again very grateful to have Wayne on the song and my brother Taleban Dooda is one of the hottest rappers coming up right now about to be major….”
