Here on the mountain that false separation does not exist. The people are the Dehesa and the Dehesa is the people.
For millennia both have continued to shape the other like the wind shapes the rocks.
The landscape is thus deeply graven in the faces and on the hands of the people of Saladaviciosa.
It is this deep connection that maintains the special beauty of both those people and the landscape.
The strength of this reciprocal mutualism is its very simplicity. A primal knowing that states cooperation is better than exploitation.
However even that is not the full tale as surely the real foundation is a love of this place and all of its inhabitants.
