Do you want to win more in your career? Almost everyone wants more career wins. It is not always easy though.
Leadership can be quite a task if you work among an unhealthy workplace. Sometimes, incentives are not enough. Many employers are not investing the time to build great leaders. Unfortunately, many employees quit and look elsewhere for a better work experience.
Those employees that do so are not making a bad decision. In fact, it is perfectly reasonable. Although, what if you can take matters in your own hands and encourage your employer to recognize you for your work ethic?
What would that mean for you?
You may be respected more by your colleagues. Some of those relationships with your colleagues can evolve into friendships.
What would that mean for your employer?
Perhaps, your employer may give you a salary raise or include that with a promotion. Alternatively, he may move you to another department or location to better serve your talents.
Who knows he may even suggest you to a hiring manager for another employer? An considerate and ethical boss would do such a thing, especially if his boss does not want to change the company’s workflow.
How do I build or improve my leadership skills?
