Mental health issues have been increasing more and more these days, but they are still met by society with a negative point of view, which leads to those suffering from mental illnesses to isolate themselves and refuse treatment, eventually causing their condition to become worse and do more harm.
Jertaker is ending the stigma, he is ending the chain of misunderstanding and hatred that has plagued society whenever it is faced with mental health issues. He is ending the stigma and standing up for those whose voices have been drowned out by fear and shame.
His very own battle
Stress can take over a person’s life in a snap, it eats away at the core of your being and saps the happiness from everything. The problem with stress is that people who experience it do not know how to handle it, some even do not have the luxury of having the time to release their stress due to their own circumstances, which adds up more stress to the person.
Jertaker aims to help others defeat stress by using his talent as a musician, which helps him create his very own form of therapy that he can share with others. He is an artist who utilizes his craft for a higher purpose, not for fame or money, but to actually create something that would be of service to the audience who fight the same battle with stress everyday. So why don’t you give it a try? Treat yourself to some drinks and put on Jertaker`s “Wasted ft. Dylan Toole & Grenzy” and let the vibes take away your stress today.
Jertaker gets up every morning in hopes of making the world a better place through his music, he is currently preparing for a live performance in the show hosted by KB the Champion and Sony “ I Want To Be Heard ”, in pursuit of reaching and inspiring more people with his art. This artist’s goal is to inspire people to keep on fighting, to never give up on themselves as they fight their own demons.
Ending the stigma
Being a victim of mental illness is nobody’s fault, he of all people understands this as he fights his very own demons. Jertaker was diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which troubled him for a long time. Struggling with the constant feeling of not doing enough and not being enough, the impact of this condition cut through him like a knife, with nothing but his very own will to push onwards and continue the fight that was happening within. He bravely shares his experience:
“The greatest challenge I have experienced in life that I had to overcome would be my everyday OCD or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which always makes me pay close attention to details and work a lot harder than I usually have to, or my feeling of never accomplishing enough no matter how much I accomplish”
He understands the suffering that a person with mental health issues goes through everyday, that is why as a musician, he uses his voice to amplify the calls of people who experienced the same struggles as him.
Jertaker is a symbol of hope for everyone fighting battles within themselves, he is an artist who is ending the stigma. A man who is out there, telling us that we are not alone, and that we will get through it all.
You are not your demons, you will get through everything. Know more about Jertaker and his quest to end the stigma by following him on his social media.
