Olight used its O-Fan Day event in Houston on September 19 to launch the Oclip 2 Series, a second-generation platform that places mechanical flexibility at the center of compact hands-free lighting. The Oclip 2 Pro and Oclip 2 Ultra share a dual-axis architecture that allows users to change beam direction after the light has already been mounted.
The head tilts through 115 degrees and the clip rotates 360 degrees. Self-locking pivots maintain the selected angle, giving the system a stable working position. Olight reports 10,000-cycle testing for both the clip and the rotation mechanism, an important durability benchmark for hardware designed to be adjusted repeatedly.

A platform built around positioning
Directional freedom broadens the usefulness of a small clip light across professional and consumer settings. Mechanics can place the light at one point inside an engine bay and steer the beam around obstacles. Public-safety users can mount it on clothing or gear. Campers can attach it to a pack, suspend it from a tent loop, or use the dual magnets at the MCC tail and clip to secure it to compatible steel surfaces.
The Oclip 2 Pro combines flood, spot, and red light. Its flood mode reaches 530 lumens, the spot beam reaches up to 125 meters, and the red light reaches 40 lumens. The Pro starts at $49.99 and is available in Classic Black, High-Visibility Orange, and Tidal Blue through Olight’s official website and Amazon.
Ultra extends the platform into inspection
Oclip 2 Ultra raises flood output to 580 lumens and spot range to 130 meters. Its defining addition is an in-house R/UV emitter that integrates red and ultraviolet light in a compact assembly. UV output reaches 800 mW, positioning the Ultra for automotive leak detection, HVAC work, and other inspection scenarios involving fluorescent materials.

Olight also gives the Ultra an OAL aluminum body and head for added strength and scratch resistance. OclipBeat, a breathing indicator integrated into the design, changes color according to cumulative usage time. The Ultra is priced at $69.99 and comes in Olive Green, Onyx Black, and Amber Orange.

Charging becomes part of the ecosystem
Both models recharge through USB-C or Olight’s magnetic MCC connection. Premium configurations add a 1,000 mAh Mobile Charging Dock that automatically tops up the light, displays battery status for the light and dock, and extends total runtime to roughly twice that of the light alone.
Olight says the Oclip product family has surpassed one million users worldwide. The Oclip 2 Series builds on that installed base with a design language centered on positioning, repeated adjustment, and multi-environment use. For Olight, that creates a platform that can serve workplace, outdoor, safety, and consumer EDC markets with the same core hardware.
