A new study has revealed Florida as the best state for multi-millionaires searching for luxury houses across the U.S.
The research by luxury villa rental Cabo Villa Vegas Dave analyzed luxury houses that are worth at least $3 million, for each state from Realtor.com. The findings were compared to each state’s land area to identify U.S. states offering the highest concentration of luxury properties for multi-millionaires.
Florida leads the nation with one luxury house per nine square miles. The Sunshine state boasts 6,117 luxury estates, averaging over $157 million, scattered across a total area of 53,997 square miles.
In the second position, New Jersey has one luxury house per 13 square miles. Across 7,419 square miles, the Garden State offers 591 luxury houses for multi-millionaires, averaging a little over $127 million.
Massachusetts ranks third with one luxury house per 14 square miles. There are 561 upscale properties, with an average price tag of $35 million, scattered across the Bay State’s land area of 7,838 square miles.
Looking at the study, a spokesperson from Cabo Villa Vegas Dave commented:
“The study highlights the best states with the highest concentration of luxury estates within short distances.
“These regions with higher luxury property density typically offer better high-end amenities, stronger networking opportunities among the wealthy, and more sophisticated service infrastructure. Residents benefit from having more property options without extensive travel between viewings.”
Hawaii secures the fourth spot with one luxury house per 14 square miles. The Aloha State extends across 6,423 square miles, consisting of 455 high-end living properties for multi-millionaires, with an approximate price tag of $52 million.
In the fifth spot, Connecticut provides one luxury house every 17 square miles. Covering 4,845 square miles of area, the Constitution State offers 292 upscale houses, averaging a little more than $37 million.
Rhode Island (6th) has one luxury house per 18 square miles, followed by California (7th) at one luxury house per 27 square miles, New York (8th) at one luxury house per 32 square miles, Maryland (9th) at one luxury house per 54 square miles, and Delaware (10th) at one luxury house per 61 square miles
