Valentine’s day is on the horizon, 14th of February is a day for star-crossed lovers or strangers or even seasoned partners to renew their resonating affection for each other. What does valentine’s day mean for fatherless societies or even the single parent valentine’s ideology of what romance and intimacy mean to possible juveniles experimenting with the opposite sex for the first time, it is the opportunity to make the move for the first time.
Valentine’s day is a day for chances of lowered inhibitions, the possibility of initiating a rendezvous that would deem bravery very demanding on any other day. Chivalry is dead, and why do valentine’s day and the tradition of it seem to make it so annualized to be extroverted. Every day should be filled with love and intimacy as the love for once self is also reviewed on the 14th of February.
Think about the single parent, and child who is possibly fatherless, and there is no equal sharing order in terms of the custody for the child. Valentine’s day could be the reminder that love can be broken, and the ideology of possibility has dwindled to smaller fragments for some that lack the self-esteem, and the juvenile delinquents that are so affected by a divorce, and separation of parents for the child. Confidence is a fickle stroke when it comes to fatherless children that probably view valentine’s day differently to those of children from stable and supporting parents.
Also, keeping in mind, that single parents are on the increase, and maybe Valentine’s day has more singletons on the prowl. The day is also a reminder that being kind, being empathetic are basic human values that need not be expressed on one single day of the year, but rather a habit toward consistently being that higher person on a daily basis.
