100 Words on Love, by Gena Raymond
–
When I was young, I thought love was like year round Miami summer and I was unprepared. Winter ended with heartbreaks and packed bags.
Now it’s summer again and this love is fresh and new. But now I know that winter will come soon enough.
So I will store every kiss and hug, every smile and touch, every kind word, to get us through.
And when the nights are cold and backs are turned, I will dust them off and cover us with their warmth.
And hope that this blanket of memories will carry us through the winter of our love.
