Welive a life of deception because the truth is harrowing, but no one wants to live like that, as the Stoic philosopher Epictetus once said: “who would wish to live a life full of deception, stumbling into it, mistaken, whining, unhappy and undisciplined?” Certainly no one; these are weak people who do not live the life they dream of; that’s why none of them is free,” he said.

We all realize that everything in life has a price, so what is the price of personal freedom? If you want to live your way and do what you like, you have to give up the following four things:
1) The lies:

The truth seeker must be freed from deception, lies, and negativity and see everything for what it is; rememberthat the truth makes you stronger. We often hide from reality and refuse to face our problems, but they are not problems; it is simply the truth, so why might the fact be a problem?
We all feel an inner sense of loneliness, and we think we are constrained and worried, but the truth is trying to break free from you, so be honest with yourself.
If something bothers you, deal with it and never ignore it; this way, most people end up in relationships that destroy their lives. And it is difficult for them to look at themselves in the mirror. They give up on life and do not take any action to change it and die regretfully, so give up lies and follow the path of truth instead; this is enough to set you free.
2) Convenience:

This may seem contrary to expectations. First, most of our life is devoted to the search for comfort and avoiding suffering, but you need to do precisely the opposite, this is the price of personal freedom. When you accept suffering and face it, nothing can take away your peace of mind, and no matter what you face in life, you know you can overcome it.
Death, heartbreak, sadness, bullying, fear of the unknown, illness, harm, bankruptcy, loss of friends, loneliness, separation, and physical pain are the things that you are trying to avoid.
We avoid suffering because it makes us feel bad, and our fear of it is the cause of our pain, but when you welcome it, you will find that suffering does not last, it will not destroy your life; it will make you stronger.
Smile the next time you have a problem, face it with strength and be free, constantly face the difficult things in your life, and remind yourself to give up the grace of life.
3) Worrying about money:

Money is the center of the universe, that’s what people say, and that’s the truth; you can’t do anything without it, but we are afraid of running out of it, which is an unnecessary fear. So you need to do two things to overcome your anxiety about money:
- Acquire skills that will earn you income.
- Save as much money as you can.
You can choose the job you want, if you have valuable skills and are constantly developing yourself, you will never be unemployed. On the other hand, if you overdo it by sticking to your job, you will neglect yourself.
But always remember to work for your self-realization; your professional life is your responsibility, and you must think about yourself first. It’s better than being someone who always does what he is told, the former always seeks to develop himself, while the latter surrenders to the status quo.
Save money so that you have the option to quit any job that does not suit you; this is personal freedom. You work because you want to make yourself a helpful person, not because you have to.
4) People with whom you disagree:

No one can succeed alone, you do better with good people around you, but the problem is that we surround ourselves with people who are not like us. We keep them in our lives for fear of loneliness, which contradicts the concept of freedom.
A free person spends time with people with whom he shares the same values; there are millions of people around you, so look for someone who looks like you and abandon those who are not.
Suppose your partner is a negative person and likes to complain. In that case, you will live as a prisoner of his nature, do not be afraid of loneliness. It’s better than being in a relationship with people who drain all your energy, remember that you cannot change people. It’s better to accept this fact.
Instead of disagreeing with people who don’t look like you, create a support group and find people you would like to support who are ready to help you.
Personal freedom gives you strength:

When you live by other people’s rules, you are not free; we behave in a certain way; because we think that’s what we should do; you see us spending time with people we don’t like, doing a job we’re not good at. Continuing relationships with people we disagree with.
All this happens because we are ignorant of our power. However, your life is your decision-making, and everything that has happened to you is due to your decisions when you live an unhappy life.
Your hands cause this, you have the absolute power to live the way you want, and the person who thinks otherwise is a coward who makes excuses.
You can be free, decide what you want to do if you don’t prefer to go out with certain people, and ignore them. If you hate your job, look for another job; if your city doesn’t appeal to you, move to another. It’s that easy, but that doesn’t mean you lose patience and give up everything; remember to always strive for the truth, and don’t be afraid to do difficult things if you are not satisfied with your life; changing work or city is not the desired solution.
In conclusion:
Personal freedom means having total power over your life; it is impossible to be accessible unless you realize this. So change the way you look at life and whatever you do.
Key message: Do it with a sincere desire, live a decent life, give up empty talk, find the truth and accept suffering. Face difficult things and, save money, build authentic relationships; this is the price of freedom, and it’s worth it.
