We know our work inside out, but we love when someone tries to tell us how to do our job. We have been working in the industry for years, and we know how to tackle certain situations. But we wish that our clients knew the following things.
We Know If You Don’t Take Us Seriously
When we estimate a job, we don’t like the assumption that our time doesn’t count, and we will offer a life-changing advice in return for nothing. The worst case being we give our solution and price only to hear you can get it done for a lot less.
The problem is most people shop around different painters not to compare their qualities and prices but to get ideas to do the job by themselves. The interesting part is, we get the vibe whether someone wants to hire us or screw around, and if you don’t like how we handle such situations, it’s because we don’t want to do this dance anymore.
You Get What You Pay for, Period!
With painting jobs, it’s true with Paysons Painting because people make the mistake of hiring the cheapest guy, and have high expectations of him. It’s true if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. If you believe hiring a professional is expensive then wait till you hire an amateur.
The fact is, you can pay anyone to paint, even someone in your family. But if someone is charging a premium, it’s because they offer you a standard, not only service.
The Reason behind Our Prep Work
We do prep work depending on moving parts of a room including chandeliers, alarms, window locks, fireplace, etc. We note down every item before we move or secure it from any damage. Later we put everything back in its place. We are very careful to keep anything from breaking, and we check if there is any damage or scratch.
Every Tool Has Its Use
To do our work, we need a combination of three tools including sprayers, rollers, and brushes. Some of them we need all the time, and some of them are needed occasionally. We are making judgment calls.
Sometimes we need a sprayer for trim because fine brushes rollers are not as clean as a sprayer. Brushes and rollers can leave streaks which is not a case with sprayers.
Premium Paint is better than the Average One
High-end Brands are worth their Price. Yes, Premium brands are far better than your average one, let us explain why!
- They spread smoothly and adhere to surfaces better than cheaper ones
- They need few coats for a uniform and good appearance
- They last for a long time
- They are dirt and other resistance
- If they get a stain, you can easily remove them without worrying about ruining the finish
- They hold up much better as compared to average one, even after numerous cleanings
Last but not least, your paint is safe even if it is not green. This is an overused worth, and the difference between low VOC or Non-VOC doesn’t matter much.
