1. We Are Marshall
Just thinking about this movie is enough to make me tear up. In the beginning of the movie nearly the entire Marshall University football team, the coaches, and some fans die in a plane crash. The school must rebuild it’s team from scratch and heal the community. If you’re not crying during this movie you have no heart, it’s that simple.
2. The Karate Kid
When Daniel moves from New Jersey to California he doesn’t fit in and faces a lot of bullying each day. After a particularly tough beating, karate master Mr. Miyagi saves him. Daniel learns that there is much more to karate than fighting in this inspirational film.
3. The Sandlot
This movie starts off with an emotional kick in the stomach when Rudy’s best friend dies in an explosion at the local steel mill. This motivates Rudy, despite the fact he’s always been told he was too small, to go after his dream of playing football for Notre Dame. You’ll need a whole damn box of tissue for this one.

If you don’t want to scream at Coach Kilmer you’re watching this movie the wrong way.
7. Rocky
The ultimate emotional sports movie has to be Rocky. A small time fighter gets the chance to go against the ultimate heavy weight champion in the ring is one of the greatest underdog stories of all time. Try not to get all choked up when he starts shouting “Adrian!”
