An Ode to Crocs
00:06
You, Rubber God,
00:09
you who let me walk on water
00:11
and sidewalk and mountain
00:13
without ever changing shoes.
00:15
People of all ages see you on my feet
00:18
and laugh.
00:20
Oh, you source of joy for the whole world.
00:24
Come to find out,
00:25
half the people who hate on my Crocs in public
00:27
agree that they’re extremely comfortable,
00:29
and even have a pair that they use in private.
00:32
In high school, my wardrobe was dictated
00:35
by the whispers of people that refused to love me out loud.
00:38
I wanted so badly to be accepted
00:40
that I sacrificed my comfort.
00:42
But never again.
00:43
An ode to the reclamation
00:45
of doing whatever the fuck makes me happy.
00:48
Besides, there are only two kinds of humans in this world.
00:51
One, humans who love Crocs.
00:53
Two, humans who are lying to themselves about their love for Crocs.
00:57
So you’ve got to ask yourselves,
00:59
are you human
01:01
or not?
01:03
(cheers and applause)
