Recently, Saudi Arabia manipulated the weather, bringing torrential rains to the otherwise dry parts of the Middle East. Using technology, they caused rain in a region that is not known for it. Apparently, no longer experimental, how long will it be before others attempt to manipulate the weather?
Geo-engineering’s promise cannot be undervalued, but like all things done by humanity, we are rarely concerned with the future effects of such manipulations. Is rain production just the start?
Will our ability to manipulate the weather, just as climate change has begun altering the weather patterns and underwater currents responsible for our weather in unpredictable ways, will this experimentation disrupt our weather further, affecting our ability to grow crops and provide water to millions?
Or is there a real capacity for weather control making it capable of reducing drought worldwide?
If we ARE able to manipulate the weather, how will such control affect weather across wide regions?
Will countries be able to affect other nations’ water across the planet? The possibility has been considered and we should ask ourselves: are we ready for Weather Wars, next on Climate Change by the Elements.
