I discovered the Japanese technique of Kon Mari via watching a show on Netflix about tidying up. Watching the principles of Kon Mari, I was encouraged as every day people walked through the process. Kon Mari is the process of organizing, folding and simplification utilizing keeping only the things in your life that bring you joy. I marveled as I watched individuals shift their mindsets, get rid of the items that hold them back and more.
I’ve decided that I am going to start asking myself the questions:
1. Does this item give me joy?
2. Does this item serve me?
These questions will allow you to create space for more enjoyment, health, and contentment in life. How will you let go of the things not serving you? Think about how much room you’ll have in your heart. Life is not about possessions, it is about the moments that make your heart swell with joy. Having less is truly more when you are at a place to enjoy what you have.
