“My music is expressive and honest,” said Greenspan, Rapper straight out of Baltimore County. “My music is for everyone interested in honest lyrics and the groove. You feel me?” He has a sizable body of work that has seen notoriety on multiple levels. Greenspan’s video “Kane and Abel” was featured on MTV and can be viewed “here.”
As a child, Greenspan was trained in the classical piano, but his interests led him away from music sheets and toward microphones as an MC. “I never wanted to miss anything. I always wanted to be in music in some capacity.” He noted Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder as sources of inspiration as well as UGK and AZ. 90’s artists fostered his interest in rhyming. There was never a moment to hesitate or second guess his path. Greenspan knew.
Currently, Greenspan is negotiating distribution for his upcoming second studio album Never Gon Die. Last week, he had a show at Baltimore’s famous Ottobar, where he performed with Stalley, Breezay, and Al Rodgers. Greenspan has no plans of stopping. His discography has his first album Stairway to Heaven and multiple mixtapes including Got Green, which was sponsored by Scion. Stairway to Heavenfeatured a promotion run labeled “Stairway Sundays,” where he collaborated with the French blog Brand New Hip Hop and OK-THO.com to talk about his vision and inspiration for each song.
Greenspan left with the following words:
“I think it’s important to follow your dreams because settling for less is for suckers. People without ambition are just dying slow.”
