We as MD Meets Techie believe relationships are not just about candle-lit dinners and passionate declarations of love. They are also about the small, silly, and absolutely absurd moments that make your journey together an adventurous rollercoaster. In this blog, we’ll be exploring our quirky little ‘Milestones’ page in our Notion Relationship Journal. Warning: chuckles, giggles, and full-blown belly laughs may ensue!

The Milestones Page: A Time Machine of Love and Laughter
This page has been the secret ingredient to making our relationship strong and, oh boy, what a riot it has been! We have documented every single milestone, right from our first date (when my spaghetti ended up on her new dress) to our first kiss (the clumsy yet magical moment when noses bumped).
We recorded everything: our first extravagant dinner date where we spent a fortune and yet survived on a diet of love and breadsticks for the next week, to our first park walk, when a rogue squirrel decided to join us and ended up stealing my sandwich.
In total, we’ve documented over 80 rows in our first year itself! Who knew love could be so eventful and hilarious?
From Moments to Memories: The Anniversary Reminders
But wait, there’s more. We added another column to our table that sets up a reminder for the anniversary of each special occurrence. Every four to five days throughout the year, we get a blast from the past, reminding us of our special (and often funny) moments.
And of course, being the sentimental fools that we are, we celebrate each of these anniversaries. For instance, our first movie night has become a tradition. Every year when the reminder pops up, we celebrate our movie night anniversary. We curl up on the couch with our favorite movies, popcorn, and a box of tissues (for those weepy romantic dramas she loves).
Milestones or Mayhem: The Funny Side of Relationship Records
Along with cherishing these special moments, we also keep track of some rather amusing records in our relationship. For instance, as a long-distance couple initially, we recorded the longest time we spent together (which felt like a wonderful eternity) and the longest time away (which felt like a dreadful eternity).
Then, there’s a column dedicated to our light-hearted records. Now, these are not your typical “Most romantic dates” kind of records. Oh no, we’re talking about the downright ridiculous stuff like “How many times I took the trash out without missing a day” (my personal record is seven, by the way).
These seemingly absurd records have added a dash of humor to our relationship, turning our everyday routines into a fun-filled adventure.
The Milestones Page: An Anchor of Fond Memories
Our Milestones page serves as a buoy of fond memories, floating us through the sometimes stormy seas of a relationship. It’s a page that has given us countless smiles, laughs, and a few “Remember when…” moments almost every day. It’s our little nook in the vast world of the internet where we celebrate our love, quirks, and yes, even the trash-taking records.
In conclusion, the Milestones page in our Notion Relationship Journal is not just a page. It’s a chronicle of our journey, a mixtape of our memories, and a gallery of our giggles. We wholeheartedly recommend creating your own Milestones page. Celebrate your love, your goofiness, and yes, even your ability to take the trash out consistently.
So go ahead, make memories, laugh at your quirks, and treasure the beautiful mess that is your relationship. After all, in the grand scheme of love, it’s these little moments, these tiny milestones, that make the journey worthwhile.
