Every Wednesday evening, takes one article on The Good Men Project — one very specific subject — and then tries to go deeper into that. Often people who come to that call start out by saying ‘wait, why are we talking about this”. But then, as the call progresses, those same people often gain insights that allow them to see the connectedness of ALL the topics we talk about on GMP.

Timely topics (Olympics 2021) as well as themes and issues that are here for the long-term.
- Discrepancies in sports when it comes to gender.
- Football, baseball, and basketball are almost exclusively male sports, with women seen as the “accessories”.
- Make up our “All American” society.
- Male events in the Olympics are always the finale, female events are the lead-in. More media attention on male events than females. Also, more attention was placed on the attire of female athletes.
- Athletes are pressured and coerced into playing even when injured. Is this changing?
- Father and son bonding over sports.
- Concussions are becoming seen more in sports besides football — sports that we don’t even view as dangerous.
- How training for a sport at a competitive level affects one’s identity.
- Individual vs. team dynamics
- Sports and intersectional identities.
- Toxic individualism
And more!
