In today’s world, it might seem like the most far-fetched idea: disconnecting. We’re constantly plugged in, tuned in, liking and sharing… all the time. If you don’t connect, you risk becoming outdated.
With every notification, we feel compelled to respond, see who messaged, send an acknowledgment, or maybe just check and leave it for later. And how many things do we leave for later?
While we’re connected, we’re disconnected from the real world around us. As a child smiles, a dog crosses the street, or a flower blooms, we’re walking down the sidewalk looking down, responding to someone, or refreshing our feeds. And real life passes us by.
How many face-to-face conversations have been replaced by cold emojis, where we simply tap on the screen to select the “cutest” ones? Let’s disconnect in restaurants, at home, at work… even if it’s just for a few minutes or a few hours.
Even though work and real life are now deeply intertwined with the virtual world, we urgently need to be present in real-world environments. Let’s not allow social media shares to become more important than real hugs. Let’s have common sense, balance, schedules, and time to experience each thing properly.
If we completely disconnect, we’ll lose touch with the current world. But if you never switch off from time to time, anxiety will frustrate you more and more each day. Those who work with their minds need rest to find inspiration. And today, the best professionals work with their minds all the time.
Brilliant minds, tired and consumed by this daily intake, leading to an increasingly intense inner demand. Our mind is a precious universe that requires time to be unraveled.
Get in tune with your mind, your consciousness, your thoughts, and your ideas. Disconnect and dive into your inner world, finding in the simplest gestures the expression of the welcome we crave so much out here.
Disconnect on the outside and automatically connect within. Do this until it becomes a necessity, to have some time for yourself…
Disconnect… before your battery runs out!
