The Home I Want to Build With You

A home with a tranquil and beautiful garden where you’ll play with our kids, surrounded by red, white, purple, blue, and yellow flowers, and butterflies fluttering around.

You’ll feel safest, most comfortable, happiest, and at peace with me in our home. It will be our comfort zone, where we can seek discomfort together, supporting each other without any judgment.

Our kids will play with us and their grandparents. They’ll grow up surrounded by nature, and I’ll homeschool them.

There will be a swimming pool on the rooftop, where we’ll swim. We’ll grow our own vegetables in our rooftop garden.

There will be lots of plants everywhere, a library where we can read our favorite books, and a swing where we can sit and talk for hours.

And there will be you, just like a Greek goddess, roaming around our sweet home, just a call away.

I’ll work in the most aesthetic and comfy workplaces ever, and you’ll bring me coffee or tea. Sometimes, I’ll make you tea too, my ‘chai’ queen, because I know how much you love tea.

Every evening, we’ll sit together in the garden for an hour to work on the novel based on our love story. If we finish that novel, we may write something else, but the evenings will always be reserved for writing.

I’ll read you bedtime stories every night and gently massage your head until you fall asleep.

Do you know why I chose a career where I can work from anywhere?

So that I can work and travel the world with you.

So that I can work from our bedroom — seeing you right in front of me. I don’t want to leave you alone for even a second.

Because of the freedom it gives me, I can work whenever I want.

I can spend most of my time with you, enjoy our life to the fullest, and help you raise our kids.

You’re my home.

Whenever you hug me, I feel a soft wall that melts away instantly.
