Men Don’t Fear Love We Fear Being seen because it’s Easier to Be Numb Than to Be Seen
You know a good woman will look straight through you. She’ll see the sadness behind the smile.
She’ll say, “You’re not okay, are you?”
And you’ll still lie: “I’m fine.”
You ever notice how some men will walk away from a good woman the kind that sees him, really sees him and then go stay with someone who doesn’t ask a single hard question?
It’s not because he doesn’t know what he’s losing.
It’s because deep down, he knows he can’t hide with a good woman.
A good woman looks straight through you.
She’ll see the sadness you try to cover up with jokes.
She’ll say, “You’re not okay, are you?”
And you’ll respond, “Nah, I’m fine,” knowing damn well you’re not.
But she sees it anyway. And that’s uncomfortable.
Because being known really known feels like being exposed.
That’s why some men stay where they can’t be seen.
A woman who doesn’t ask how you feel, doesn’t push you to talk, doesn’t care what’s underneath she’s easier.
You don’t have to face yourself when you’re with her.
And that’s the sad part.
A lot of us don’t even realize how much pain we’re carrying.
It’s not that we want to be cold or distant it’s that we’ve gotten used to the quiet that comes with not being challenged to grow.
Because when someone cares, it forces you to care too.
And that’s the part most men aren’t ready for.
Men are in trouble in this world, and not because we’re weak but because nobody listens.
Nobody listens to our wisdom.
Nobody listens to our pain.
And when your pain isn’t heard long enough, you start to believe it doesn’t matter.
That you don’t matter.
But it does.
And you do
