Sylvester Boyd Jr is intimately aware of the things that went on in Mississippi and the U.S. South. He has traveled extensively and joins us today to share his fresh, insightful perspective. He has written three books about the deep South and the African American experience. They are chronicled in his book series, The Road From Money. Some of the issues he talks about are portrayed in “Women of the Movement” an ABC mini series based on the true story of Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley which takes place in the town where his family originated.
