I have been the recipient of The Silent Treatment throughout my entire life.
The Silent Treatment…used as a weapon of shame and control.
Control in effort to shame me into submission.
The Silent Treatment…extremely triggering for my PTSD.
This week, I knew I needed to look deeper.
I chose to spend the week in silence with hopes of healing the shame that surrounds it.
In my silence, I discovered…
Silence not only wants to be heard, but has a right to be heard.
When silence is heard, every other voice, that has repeatedly played it’s soundtrack inside my mind, no longer exists.
Instead, what is heard in the silence, is unconditional support, unabated self love, unequivocal truth.
In silence, all shame is scrubbed clean and pure life force is restored.
Once clean, silence can no longer be used as the weapon that was once laden with shame.
Instead, the silence reconnected myself to myself, recovering my inherent wholeness.
The Silent Treatment…no longer a weapon of shame.
The Silent Treatment…the restoration of the pure life form that it is.
