How Were the Cities Chosen?
The study, which was conducted by FetishFinder, used the following criteria to determine the best and worst cities to find love:
- The number of singles who lived there.
- The number of people trying to find love.
- How likely you are to get married in that city.
- The city’s divorce rate.
- The cost of living in the city.
- The city’s quality of life.
Now that we know how these cities were selected, let’s take a closer look at the five best cities to find love.
Top 5 Best Cities to Find Love
1. Seattle
You’ll find yourself sleepless in Seattle — with all of the dating options, that is! This city had the best balance of all the criteria used to determine the best city for love. Seattle had the highest average of monthly singles looking for a relationship. With the second highest quality of life in the country, it seems like a pretty good place to start fresh if you’re willing to relocate to find the love of your life.
2. Denver
Offering the lowest divorce rate and lots of people looking to find love, Denver is a great place to find love. (This is a huge turn around from 2017 and 2019, when Denver was named the worst city to find love).
3. Dallas
If you’re looking for a cowboy (or cowgirl), it might be time to consider relocating to Dallas, Texas! The city is known for its rich cultural scene, making it a great spot for singles who are dating!
4. Indianapolis
Ranking at no. 4 is Indianapolis. With its vibrant downtown and small town vibes, this city is a perfect spot for singles to find love. Known for its significant snow falls, it’s a great place for couples to get snowed in together!
5. Austin
This is another Texas city that could be the perfect spot to relocate if you’re looking to find love! This city is also known for its culture — and for the beautiful Lake Travis, which can make for a gorgeous first date!
Top 5 Worst Cities to Find Love
Now that you know the top 5 cities for singles to find love, what about the worst? Here are the 5 cities where you’re least likely to find love:
- New York
- Los Angeles
- Philadelphia
- Chicago
- San Antonio
While many of these cities have a higher cost of living, that wasn’t the only factor that determined them to be the worst places for singles.
