You do not have control over the government’s actions but you do have control over your actions.

It is that time again. We are less than a year away from the presidential election. I have come to the belief that voting is a way to distract ourselves from the most disturbing problem in our lives. That problem is our self.

I am still boggled about how most economists believe that the economy has come to a full recovery.

Most people do not like to take full responsibility for their lives. So, what do they do? They vote and hope that the president will fill in the gaps. Moreover, who do you think that they will blame when they are dissatisfied with the last four years?
I do not vote because I would rather focus on the things that I can control in my life.
The U.S. economy has been a mess ever since the Great Recession. I am still boggled about how most economists believe that the economy has come to a full recovery. Did they see these statistics?
- 5.8% is not the real unemployment rate. In fact, it is much higher!
- 30% of millennials are still living with their parents.
- 50% of Americans earn less than $29,000 a year.
- 60% of Americans with student loans are not paying them back.
The U.S. economy is a mess, but I decided not to be its victim.
While it is interesting to see outsiders like Donald Trump and Ben Carson or even Bernie Sanders (who has been an Independent for most of his political career) in the presidential race, I do not need them to reach the finish line.

Since the Great Recession, I have helped over 2,000 people reach the finish line in their careers. My clients were only successful because they believed that their destiny was in their hands.
Some people choose to be employees while others decided to be entrepreneurs. These uncertain times have dissuaded many people from entrepreneurship and instead encouraged them to go or return to college for better career prospects.
College can be expensive if you decide to pay tuition at a prestigious university. It can be much more affordable when you get your degree via CLEP and DSST courses. Alternatively, it can be almost free through enrolling at a school like University of The People.
If getting the degree is not as important as getting the education, you can take a variety of free college courses via Coursera, Edx, or Udacity.
You can use these classes to diversify your skill set. Maybe it can make you a more attractive candidate for a career opportunity. Alternatively, you can use the education to prepare yourself to succeed as a solopreneur or freelancer.
The free ebook offer will only be extended if you mention that you saw this video via the Good Men Project. This offer expires January 1st, 2016.

In conclusion, you do not have control over the government’s actions but you do have control over your actions. You do not need the government’s permission to be successful. You are in control of your life, not the government. I decided not to be a victim. Will you?

Irt was the wealthy people and corporations CEOs who have controls over the actions of the government. As Bernie Sander say, it is corporations that are regulating Congress.
Special interest groups definitely control the government. There is no doubt about it. I just chose not to be a victim of the economy. I do not need to vote for Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders to reach the finish line in my career.
