Urgent ‘Particularly Dangerous Situation’ Warning Issued for the Entire U.S.

[Author’s Note: This is not a real warning issued by an actual agency. However… it’s accurate and might as well be ‘real.’]

January, 2025: The International ‘Political Weather Bureau’ has taken the controversial and highly unusual step of issuing a ‘Particularly Dangerous Situation’ warning for the entire United States.

The political winds that supported and enabled Donald Trump have grown even fiercer over the past few months — and once he won re-election and was inaugurated on January 20, those winds quickly ramped up into a major political hurricane that threatens the nation’s survival.

This sort of ‘rapid intensification’ was almost non-existent in the past, but with the advent of the Internet — especially social media — the sinister messaging of the far right has ‘blown up’ on the Internet, metastasized rapidly, and now dominates the American public square. The current political circumstances in the U.S. are so dire — totally unheard of, in fact — that they merit our rare ‘Particularly Dangerous Situation’ warning.

The worst aspect of this forecast and warning, however, is that the ‘rapid intensification’ isn’t over yet, and in fact may just be getting started. In the not-too-distant past, professional politicians and pundits all hoped that the venerable ‘political norms’ and guardrails that constrained and were respected by ALL past presidents would constrain Mr. Trump.

But they were wrong, of course, and so far nothing and no one has been able to control or restrain him and his worst dictatorial impulses. Since his inauguration, a mere six days ago, Mr. Trump has shocked and astounded the nation — and the world — with the blistering pace of his executive orders, decrees, firings, and mass round-ups of illegal immigrants.

His rapid-fire assault on American democracy — and make no mistake, this is a true ‘blitzkrieg’ assault — seems designed to overwhelm the American system and bully Americans into silence and compliance.

The speed with which this ‘rapid intensification’ has developed is deeply alarming. Not only we, the forecasters, but the entire international community is aghast — worried beyond belief. In the span of just a few days, Mr. Trump has:

· Withdrawn the U.S. from the Paris Climate Accords

· Withdrawn the U.S. from the World Health Organization

· Declared a ‘national emergency’ at the southern border and ordered 1,500+ active military troops to assist with border security

· Insisted that the U.S. ‘needs’ Panama and Greenland and is justified in taking them by any means necessary

· Pardoned and released 1,500+ convicted rioters — even violent ones — who’d been jailed for their actions during the January 6, 2021 insurrection

· Fired dozens of Inspectors General (the ‘conscience’ of their agencies) without giving Congress the required 30-day notice

· Fired the well-respected female Admiral in charge of the Coast Guard for promoting inclusive DEI policies

· Ordered agencies within the executive branch to terminate all DEI programs — and threatened retribution against private companies that don’t do the same

· Canceled the security arrangements for several top-level bureaucrats — Dr. Fauci and former secretaries of state Mike Pompeo and John Bolton — who Mr. Trump despises

· Ordered round-ups of suspected illegal immigrants even in formerly off-limits places like schools, churches, and hospitals

· Promised that these actions, though severe, are ‘only the beginning’

All of these ‘presidential’ orders and actions — which are, in truth, not ‘presidential’ but much more ‘dictatorial’ in nature — alarm us greatly.

As noted, the wild political winds in the U.S. are still ramping up, and much-feared ‘rapid intensification’ IS occurring. With more unrestrained executive actions already planned and coming into clear view, we feel justified and confident in applying our ‘Particularly Dangerous Situation’ warning.

Unfortunately for the U.S. — and the world — this particular warning has NO time limit or expected expiration. Mr. Trump’s tyrannical ambitions seem boundless, and his angry, bullying style has effectively mesmerized or cowed most Americans. Meanwhile, his intensifying ‘political whirlwind’/ blitzkrieg is carving a destructive path through the nation and seems to be sparing no one, not even his ardent supporters.

Attention: our warning was just upgraded again

Attention: Since there is no end in sight to this dangerous ‘rapid intensification,’ and it appears that nothing and no one can stop Mr. Trump, we have decided to upgrade even our ‘Particularly Dangerous Situation’ warning to our highest possible level of warning: a level of warning that we just created specifically for the ‘Trump situation’ in the U.S.

We are now issuing our first-ever ‘Ongoing Particularly Dangerous Situation’ warning.

We beg you, we implore you — all Americans — to pay close attention and heed our warning: You and your loved ones are in extreme danger, and all that the U.S. once stood for is in imminent danger of being extinguished forever.

This is the most ferocious and unpredictable ‘political storm’ we have ever witnessed in any democracy, let alone in the venerable United States. This is truly a once-in-a-millennium political firestorm, and its intensity and widespread, damaging effects are still growing and spreading.

We cannot say or in any way predict how or when this vast storm will end — or even IF it will end. We can say that the forecast is grim, and all denizens of the U.S. need to stay alert, stay aware, and get prepared. Be prepared for several months or even years of emergency conditions — and be prepared to hunker down for the long haul.

Yes, the situation is that grim and that alarming.

So, we repeat: the U.S. is in an ‘Ongoing Particularly Dangerous Situation,’ the worst we have ever seen in a supposed ‘democracy.’ That’s our warning, and we stand by it.

If anything changes or improves, we will amend this forecast appropriately. So far, there is no indication of any likely or imminent improvements.
