Positive thinking is the root of all great things. A positive outlook on life can reduce stress, increase vitality, boost your immune system and your cardiovascular health. According to a 2011 study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JMA), positive thinking not only will make you happy but, it will also lead to a better health as you grow older. The Yale study found that positive seniors are more likely to recover from disability than those with negative age stereotypes.
Other studies suggest that the health benefits of being positive can go beyond just surpassing disabilities. As this 2016 study by the Ohio State University Cancer Center says that patients who suffer from anxiety, pessimism, or the lack of social support before cancer treatment have a higher risk for hospital readmission compared to other mentally positive patients.
