Yesterday’s post about matchmaker Samantha Daniels’ list of the types of women that men fall in love with, got some intelligent attention from you guys. (Even the folks over at Jezebel took notice of how sharp our commenters are.)
As I said before, the list was less than accurate and you guys were pretty much on the same page.
CSeraph rightly dubbed the list “not exactly earth-shattering info.”
These kind of one-sided “what do I demand from you” lists are always pretty suspect. Actual relationships involve a lot more compromise and exchange.
And Sudhanshu Neema disagreed with #2, which states that “Men fall in love with women whom they are afraid to lose.”
By this definition I would never love anyone except for my mom and my sister because before “falling in love” no man will come to know whether he is “afraid” to lose a person before having (I do NOT mean possession) her. That realization comes after the “fall.”
The author of the original article also commits the folly of assuming that all men want the same kind of woman, contrary to her opinion falling in love is not a “one size fits all” type of thing and a “professional match maker” will know that.
Great work guys. You done us proud. But this is by no means the end of the discussion—chime in and keep letting us know what you (actually) look for in a woman. Or better yet, make your own list and we can discuss accordingly.
