There’s no way around it.
Whether you like it or not, people are sizing you up when they meet you for the first time.
They are wondering if you’re someone who is worth getting to know, or not?
Because we don’t have time to get to know everyone we meet, we all make snap judgements.
So how do you position yourself as a person of value?
Follow these tips to if you want to learn how to be someone worth getting to know.
Upgrade Your Style
People will assign value to you immediately based on how you come across. Once they’ve made up their mind, you’ll be treated based on their perception of you.
People tend to accept what you project and your style is the first thing that gets noticed. If you want to come across as a person of value, this is where you start.
Not sure where to start?
Emulate those who are already attracting the kind of people you want in your life. Identify the key pieces of clothing that they always seem to wear and buy something similar.
It’s really that simple.
Improve Your Body Language
Your non-verbal communication plays a huge role in how you show up.
Imagine receiving a compliment from someone with their arms crossed. It’s a bit weird, isn’t?
If there’s a discrepancy between your words and your body language, people will always believe the latter.
Since your mind and body are connected, the easiest way to project confidence in your body language is to have a confident mindset.
Think of the most charismatic guy that you know and in your head, pretend that’s you. You’ll notice that your shoulders will start to relax and pull back, you’ll stand up straight and have a smile on your face.
A confident posture projects to others that you probably have something to be confident about.
Develop A Sense Of Humour
When you don’t take yourself too seriously, it makes people around you feel at ease. Always remain cool, light-hearted and non-reactive.
Life is meant to be fun!
A great sense of humour is magnetic to everyone! You become a source of positive emotions and that is very attractive.
Treat Others Well
When in doubt, people tend to watch others for social cues to figure out what to do. The way others respond to you is a good indicator of what type of person you are.
How you treat others and deal with different social situations convey your level of influence and your values .
That’s why being kind and respectful to everyone you interact with goes a long way.
Live Your Passion
There’s nothing more attractive than seeing someone do something they love to do. Passion is very contagious.
It shows that you’re acting on your intentions rather than talking about it. It demonstrates that you have ambition and you’re working towards something.
Get clear on what your ideal looks like and work towards that every single day.

Everyone talks about a sense of humor. I am not funny in the slightest way. Maybe I do take things a little too seriously. I have said on more than one occasion after someone said something I found offensive or not funny “I fail to find the humor in that”.
